Bad news for those who are still stuck with Windows XP, as Nixxes Software has confirmed that Hitman: Absolution won’t support this particular OS. When asked about the minimum requirements of Hitman: Absolution (at EIDOS official forum), a member suggested that Windows XP would be supported as it was listed on Amazon’s product page. However, that’s not the case. A member from Nixxes then replied (the team porting the game, that was also responsible for the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution) and said that the game – as Hitman: Sniper Challenge – won’t support Windows XP.
As Nixxes Software said:
“Hitman: Absolution, just like Hitman: Sniper Challenge, will not work on Windows XP. Amazon would be incorrect.”
Given the fact that Nixxes is behind the PC version of Hitman: Absolution, we can expect a polished version for our beloved platform. Question is though – will Nixxes introduce other PC exclusive features, like the ones that were included in the PC version of DE: HR?
Hitman: Absolution is currently planned for a November 20th release on PC, X360 and PS3!
