Guerrila Games has just confirmed that the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn will not feature a FOV slider. While the PC version will feature some settings to customize your experience, it won’t have a FOV slider.
As Guerrila Games’ Annie wrote on the Steam forums:
“We will add several ways to customize your settings for Horizon Zero Dawn for PC. However, we feel that changing the FOV compromises the original Horizon Zero Dawn experience and visual style too much, so you will not be able to change this.”
From what we know so far, the game will support ultrawide monitors. Moreover, we can expect at least support for 60fps (though we may also have unlocked framerates).
Now while Guerrila Games will not provide a native FOV slider, I’m pretty sure that some modders will release a CheatEngine mod that will allow you to adjust it. After all, we’ve seen such mods in a number of games lately.
Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to the PC in Summer 2020.
Stay tuned for more!
