Now this looks f’ing cool. Team Z2 has released a video for its fan-made 2D fighting game based on DBZ called Hyper Dragonball Z. This new fighting game is created with Mugen, and the team has been working on this for quite some time. And contrary to – pretty much – all other Mugen games, this one looks polished enough.
As the team noted:
“This demo is based on games in the vein of Capcom’s Street Fighter and Darkstalkers, adapted and fine-tuned to represent Dragonball’s highly cinematic action in a way that actual combat means more than repeating the same combination of buttons over and over again.”
For those interested, there is a playable version of Hyper Dragonball Z, featuring 5 characters and 11 stages, that can be downloaded from here. The team also plans to release 3 new characters really soon, provided it does not receive a C&D letter.
Enjoy!
