Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, previously a PS Vita exclusive remake of a Japanese RPG about the console wars – yes, the console wars – will make its way to Steam next week. The game will launch on January 28th with a major discount of 50%, meaning buyers can grab the port for $14.99. The game will run in 1080P and feature major graphical upgrades, given the significant step up in horsepower that’s not too surprising.
From the game’s Steam page:
Key Features:
* Previously only available on consoles, now you can immerse yourself in the zany JRPG madness of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series for the first time on PC!
* Major graphical updates let you savor the true power of these Goddesses in 1080p!
* Battle with up to 3 characters on the field, with 3 more as support. Use them to perform special attacks, or swap them out at any time!
* Use “Plans” to customize the game – change up enemy difficulty, dungeon treasures, and more!
* Craft unique equipment imbued with one or more abilities!
The game also appears to support dual audio, both English and Japanese voice overs according to its Steam page. With that out of the way, I must say that the system specs seem rather high for a port of a handheld game, I’ve posted the specs below so you can have a look for yourselves. It’s hard for me to imagine these specs being correct. It could simply be a case of a developer being extremely conservative, tough to say and we likely won’t know for sure until launch.
