Microsoft has just revealed MachineGames’ Indiana Jones game, which will be called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an all-new adventure game that uses a first-person perspective.
The game will have a mix of combat, stealth, puzzles, and gunplay. And yes, you’ll be able also able to use Indy’s whip. According to the developers, players will be able to use it for traversal, as a distraction, or taking out enemies.
Indy’s journey in the Great Circle will take him on an adventure around the globe. Players will visit numerous places. From the forgotten temples of Sukhothai and the pyramids of Egypt, to the snow-peaked Himalayas and beyond.
For those wondering, the game will take place in 1937 between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. The story begins with a break-in in the dead of night. Players will then set out to discover the secret behind the theft of a seemingly unimportant artifact.
It’s also worth noting that Indiana Jones looks like Harrison Ford. In other words, we won’t have another Marvel’s Avengers in which the in-game 3D characters will feel like cosplayers. This is a crucial detail, at least in my opinion.
Bethesda has also revealed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will come out in 2024. Although there isn’t any ETA, we can expect more details about it in the coming months.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
