Now this is glorious. Wolf Lang, Co-CEO at THREAKS, has informed us about an epic win of their indie title Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians against Crysis 3. As Wolf Lang told us, Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians has beaten Crysis 3 in the Best Game Design category at the German Developer Awards 2013.
Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians has also won the award for Best Serious Game, proving that indie games can go head to head with triple-A titles.
Beatbuddy is currently 75% OFF as part of the STEAM Christmas-Sale. There is also a free DEMO to download if you are curious about it, and you can check out our 20 Minutes Playthrough. Moreover, here is the game’s soundtrack featuring exclusive songs from Parov Stelar and Austin Wintory.
Enjoy and congratulations to THREAKS for winning those awards!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
