Activision has revealed that the Survival mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be exclusive for one year to Playstation 4. This mode will be coming to the PC in October 2020, and Infinity Ward’s narrative director has commented on this exclusivity.
As Taylor Kurosaki said, Survival is a sliver of Spec Ops. All players will be able to play Spec Ops and every new bit of content they drop, day one. Moreover, he stated that the dev team was not responsible for this decision.
You can play Spec Ops and every new bit of content we drop, day one. The only timed exclusivity is Survival, which is a sliver of Spec Ops.

Up to you, I respect your decision. We do our BEST every day to give our players the best experience possible. There are decisions that are above all of our pay grades that have to be considered. I understand your feelings, but this is much better than others I have seen.

Kurosaki also claimed all maps, modes, content, characters and weapons will be available on all platforms, simultaneously.
Nope. That’s the whole deal here. Everything, all maps, modes, content, characters, weapons is day and date across all platforms. The only exception is one part of one mode of the game, Survival.

Some players already are planning to boycott this new Call of Duty game due to this exclusivity deal. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether this boycott will have a real impact on the game’s PC sales.
