Imagine a Jurassic Park game with Far Cry 3’s engine. Now that would be amazing, right? Well, until someone decides to create an open-world game, based on Michael Crichton’s dino-universe, we’ll have to rely on various mods to satisfy our dino fantasies. Jurassic Life is a mod for Half-Life 2, and although there is no release date for it as of yet, the team behind it has released a new video that can be viewed below. It looks cool, though it needs a lot of polish (especially with regards to hit detection, dino models, and animations). Nevertheless, this is the closest we’ll get to a modern-day JP game, so go ahead and enjoy the video!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
