We all know that the Avalanche Engine is currently supporting DirectX 12. However, and as of today, Just Cause 3 is only running in DirectX 11. Well, not for long as Microsoft hinted at a DX12 patch coming for Just Cause 3. Microsoft has released a new video to showcase the power of its new API, in which it included Just Cause 3.
According to Microsoft, the following games take advantage of DirectX 12:
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Quantum Break
- Forza Motorsport 6 Apex
- Ashes of the Singularity
- Gears of War Ultimate Edition
- Fable Legends
- Just Cause 3
Interestingly enough, Rise of the Tomb Raider was not included in that list.
Back in January, we informed you about the Avalanche Engine supporting DX12. As we said back then.
“Intel and Avalanche have been working closely to make use of DX12’s features in Just Cause 3, so they can improve the performance even further as well as bring additional visual quality to the game.”
And if this video is anything to go by, then we can safely assume that a DX12 patch will be released for Just Cause 3 sooner than later.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
