Flix Interactive has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Eden Star. Eden Star is said to be a sandbox survival-creation game like no other, with innovative physics based combat and an ultra interactive, destructible world. The team aims to raise £620K in the next 43 days, and there is a pre-alpha tech demo available to all those who back it up.
Eden Star aims to be an immersive first-person, survival-creation game; blending unique physics-based combat, destructible environments, freeform construction, resource management and completely dynamic, freerunning navigation.
Eden Star will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will support PhysX.
“Due to the dynamic, open-world nature of Eden Star and the grand vision that we have for the game, Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) allows us to develop faster and achieve the scope that Eden Star demands. With the guidance of Epic we hope to be able to share some of this with you as we develop the game.”
Although Eden Star is being developed for the PC, there is a high chance to also see it on next-gen consoles:
“Using UE4 also means that we are be able to take advantage of the vastly improved physics engine, dynamic lighting optimisation, greater technical support resources, more native support for multiplayer, and a greatly streamlined development process. Moreover, if the opportunity arises to port Eden Star to the next gen consoles, the engine is amply supported.”

-Advanced AI that can react and adapt to an ever-changing landscape
-Define the way you want to play; create structures, traps and automated defenses to protect your Eden Kit and expand your outpost
-Customise your character; change and upgrade the RMD powers at your disposal
