Even though the latest fighting game from SNK, King Of Fighters XIII, wasn’t planned to be played on the PC, someone managed to leak and then hack its arcade edition. And on top of that, the game is already playable through various emulators. Naturally, there are some bugs here and there but make no mistake. This is a serious issue as the console versions haven’t been released yet.
This leak shows how SNK managed to lose valuable revenue from the PC platform. Given the fact that the game was released on the arcades, the company could have easily ported it to the PC. But then again, we can’t recall any SNK fighting game for the PC – although most, if not all, arcade versions of them are already emulated.
Here is hoping that SNK will learn from this mistake and count next time the PC platform to their plans.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
