RPG fans, get ready as the upcoming action RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is coming this February on X360, PC and PS3. Or to be more precise, on February 10th 2012 as it was revealed just now at EA’s GamesCom press conference.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is being developed at Big Huge Games, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 38 Studios, under the leadership of Ken Rolston, former lead designer of the critically acclaimed hits, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is an epic single-player game — and the first chapter of a vast new fantasy universe — that sends players on a fast-paced journey to unlock the mysteries of Amalur while redefining their hero’s destiny and the fate of the world. With more than 10 award nominations at its Electronic Entertainment Expo debut in June 2011, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has captured the imagination of gamers worldwide.
The game also marks the first entry into the company’s vast universe created by New York Times best-selling fantasy author R. A. Salvatore, with artistic direction by Todd McFarlane, renowned artist and creator of Spawn.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
