Things are not looking good for Konami and FOX Engine fans, as the Konami’s worldwide technology director Julien Merceron has left the company. Not only that, about according to the latest reports, Konami has ceased all triple-A games development for consoles and PC.
Metal Gear Online fans, fear not as that particular mode has not been cancelled. Metal Gear Online is still under development and will be coming to the PC this January.
Moreover, Konami will also keep developing games for its PES series (in fact, it’s the only series that’s not affected by Konami’s decision to cease triple-A games development). Whether this is good or bad news for PC gamers – especially after those weird hybrid versions of PES 2015 and PES 2016 – remains to be seen).
As Gameblog claimed, Konami will be now focusing on mobile games and pachinkos

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
