Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess PC demo is available for download

Now here is a pleasant surprise. Although Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will be using Denuvo on PC, Capcom has just released a free demo for it.

According to its description, the demo allows you to play some of the stages of the main game. Moreover, there is no time limit like the one we saw in some Resident Evil demos. Instead, you can play it as many times as you like.

In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, you’ll assume the role of Soh. Soh will have to work together with Yoshiro, the Maiden with divine powers, to purge and cleanse the villages of the defilement.

The game promises to combine the exhilarating action of “dancing swords” with the strategic element of deciding which villagers will join you on your journey to cleanse each village. Moreover, the cycle of preparing for battle during the day and protecting the Maiden and the village from evil spirits of the mountains (“The Seethe”) at night is critical to Soh’s success.

During the day, players will explore the village, purge defilements, and rescue villagers so they can join them in battle. Players will also be able to repair contraptions to give them an advantage against The Seethe’s attacks at night.

Players will be able to give villagers different masks that can grant them different powers. You can either make your villagers excel in melee combat, or equip them with long-range weapons.

Each village will have the recognizable Torii gates, and ultimate success is decided upon whether Yoshiro, the divine Maiden, can successfully pass through those gates before she faces defeat at the hands of The Seethe. Each Torii gate is connected to an evil universe, providing an entrance for The Seethe. As such, you’ll have to guide Yoshiro to the Torii gates to purge the defilement and save the village.

Ultimately, you’ll have to protect the Maiden from the oncoming threat of The Seethe by commanding your enlisted villagers while simultaneously doing battle, facing off against The Seethe with Soh’s unique dance-like sword attacks.

As said, the game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech on PC. Furthermore, Capcom revealed its official PC system requirements.

PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 560. The devs recommend using an Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700.

It’s also worth noting that the game will support Ray Tracing effects. However, I don’t know if the demo also has these RT effects. Still, you can also find some Ray Tracing PC requirements below.

You can download the free PC demo from here.

Finally, Capcom will release the full version of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess on July 19th.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
