Capcom has released the first free DLC for Resident Evil 2 Remake, The Ghost Survivors. Alongside this DLC, the Japanese company has issued a new update that thankfully fixes one really annoying performance issue that plagued this title.
According to reports, and after testing it ourselves too, we can confirm that the Spark Gun framerate drops have been fixed. In case you weren’t aware of, in the previous version there were severe framerate issues whenever players were using the Spark Gun (unfortunately you can acquire this weapon late in the game and this is why we didn’t encounter this bug during our PC Performance Analysis). With this latest patch, however, Capcom has addresses these framerate issues.
As we’ve already stated, The Ghost Survivors DLC features three alternate-universe missions in which players assume the roles of supporting characters who meet their untimely ends in the main story. In No Time to Mourn you will play gun shop owner Robert Kendo, in Runaway you will play the mayor’s daughter, Katherine Warren, and in Forgotten Soldier you’ll play a forgotten soldier (presumably from the Alpha Team).
Capcom has not revealed any additional details about the PC patch, however we’ll make sure to share the PC release notes once – and if – they become available.
Have fun everyone!
