Aspyr and Bloober Team are currently offering for free their first-person psychedelic horror game, Layers of Fear, on Steam for a limited time. Do note that this is a proper free and not a free to play offer. In other words, once you get your free copy, you’ll be able to keep this game forever.
Layers of Fear is described as a first-person psychedelic horror game with a heavy focus on story and exploration. Players take control of a painter whose sole purpose is to finish his Magnum Opus. The player must navigate through both a constantly changing Victorian-era mansion and ghastly visions of the painter’s fragile and crumbling psych.
Those interested can acquire their free copy from here, and below you can find the game’s key features.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
