Now here is a pleasant surprise. SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have released a PC demo for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This demo will allow you to get a taste of this new Pirate-themed Yakuza/Like a Dragon game before it comes out.
In Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, players will embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure as Goro Majima. Majima and his crew will engage in combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure.
When an enemy pirate ship catches you in their sights, a real-time cannon battle will break out. Players will have to quickly maneuver into position while avoiding fire, then deliver devastating damage to board the enemy ship and take down the captain in all-out crew vs. crew brawls.
Now contrary to the previous Like a Dragon game, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will have a real-time combat system.
Majima will have two fighting styles, “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog”. With “Mad Dog” style, Majima will utilize speed, agility, and flair to deliver precise yet powerful blows that stun his enemies into submission. With the “Sea Dog” style, you’ll use dual-wielding short swords and deploy tricky pirate tools to defeat your enemies.
As I’ve reported, LAD: PYIH will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. So, I assume that the demo also has it. If it does not, people will use its executable file to crack the full version. After all, this exact thing happened in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
