It’s been almost a month since our last look at the unofficial PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. And, since the modding team behind it released yesterday a new version of it, it’s time to take another look at it. And oh boy does this unofficial PC port look great.
The latest version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is V1.3.5. And, as you will see, it currently runs great on high-end PC systems. The game no longer suffers from stutters. As such, exploring the game’s city is now a joyful experience. Not only that but there are currently very few visual glitches.
So, while it’s not perfect yet, we believe it’s at a point where every PC gamer can really enjoy it. Just make sure to be extra careful with what you’ll be downloading. And no, we won’t allow any torrent links to it in the Comment section. So, don’t bother sharing any as we’ll be deleting them.
It’s pretty incredible what the modding team behind this unofficial PC port has managed to create. In a couple of months, this will feel just as good as an official PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Seriously, I’m stunned by the dedication and the work the team has put into it.
It’s also worth noting that the game also comes with several graphics settings to tweak. So, in theory, you should be able to improve performance on mid-tier PC systems by reducing them. Nevertheless, I suggest taking a look at the PC requirements that the modding team shared a while ago.
What’s also crazy here is that, right now, there is no point at all for Sony to officially port this game to the PC. Okay okay, an official PC port will be the only legitimate way via which PC gamers can play it. However, this unofficial port feels almost as good as what we’d get from an official PC port. It’s crazy if you think about it. And this all started from a leaked PC dev build of the game, which didn’t have any shaders or textures.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
