The modding team behind the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Brazil project has released a brand new version of it. For those unaware, this is an unofficial PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and below you can find all the details about its latest V1.4.7 version.
Version 1.4.7 improves the screen-space reflections, and fixes some of the high contrast shaders. Moreover, it improves the Spider-Bot UI shaders, as well as the GMO Puzzle Shaders. Players can also expect to find less placeholders in this build. Plus, there are fixes for the Advanced MCU Suit, the Miles Morales Into The Spider-Verse Suit and Peter’s Spider-Man Noir ITSV Suit.
At the end of the article, you can find two gameplay videos from it. These videos show off the latest build on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070Ti and on an NVIDIA RTX4080 Super. So, they will give you a pretty good idea of how it currently runs on high-end GPUs.
Right now, this unofficial PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 seems to be in a pretty good state. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a lot of work to be done. However, for an unofficial PC port of a triple-A PS5 game, this already looks and feels incredible. It’s really astonishing what this modding team has managed to create. As I’ve already reported, the game no longer suffers from major stutters. You might get some stutters on less powerful PC systems, but high-end PCs can get an enjoyable experience.
It’s also worth noting that the game also comes with several graphics settings to tweak. So, in theory, you should be able to improve performance on mid-tier PC systems by reducing them. Nevertheless, I suggest taking a look at the PC requirements that the modding team shared a while ago.
Now while Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Brazil supports both DX11 and Vulkan, the devs still recommend using DX11. That’s a bummer as DX11 does not support Ray Tracing. Thankfully, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 used RT only for its reflections. So, you are not missing much. At least in my opinion.
This whole thing started from a leaked PC dev build, which didn’t have any shaders or textures. So, with that in mind, this latest PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 looks phenomenal. And, in case you’re wondering, yes. You can play it from start to finish.
Sony hasn’t revealed anything official about bringing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to PC. Still, we should expect it to hit the PC in FY 2025. Or at least that’s what the recent Insomniac leak hinted at. If I had to guess, I’d say this game, Demon’s Souls or God of War: Ragnarok will be the next PS5 game we’ll get after the release of Ghost of Tsushima.
Finally, we won’t allow any links to this unofficial PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, I’m certain that most of you will be able to find it. All you have to do is search for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, version 1.4.7 and Fitgirl. Just be careful though with what you’ll be downloading.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
