During its FY22 Q2 financial call, Sony stated that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was its fastest selling game on PC. Although the company did not reveal any sales figures, Steamspy hints that the game has at least sold 1 million copies on PC.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a great PC game that was a bit too heavy on the CPU. The team that handled the PC port was Nixxes. Unfortunately, though, there are currently no plans to provide any additional CPU optimizations to the game. Thankfully for NVIDIA owners, the game’s October 12th Update added support for NVIDIA DLSS 3. DLSS 3 manages to improve overall performance in CPU-bound scenarios, as demonstrated here.
Sony will now release Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC on November 18th. Furthermore, Nixxes has implemented new Ray Tracing effects for shadows (alongside the previous RT effects for reflections).
Speaking of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, we suggest taking a look at these mods. This mod brings back the original PS4 Peter Parker face to the game. On the other hand, this mod adds an over-the-shoulder camera viewpoint, similar to the one used in the Batman Arkham games. And lastly, there is a first-person mod that is in development (though we don’t have any ETA on when it will come out).

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
