Automaton Games today unveiled its upcoming multiplayer shooter, called Mavericks: Proving Grounds. Mavericks: Proving Grounds is a next-generation multiplayer shooter which will feature a massive, tactical, and dynamic world. Automaton aims to release a battle-royale version of it in 2018 that will support up to 400 players.
In the battle royale mode, players will duke it out in a 12 km squared world. This map will be filled with reactive wildlife and there will be dynamic water
In 2019, the team will transition into a massive 1000-player online game. As such, the final version of Mavericks: Proving Grounds will feature both the battle-royale and the online MMO modes. Moreover, Automaton’s CEO stated that the game will be powered by the SpatialOS technology.
