Max Payne fans, get ready for some good news as it has been confirmed that Max Payne 3 PC will not use Microsoft’s GFWL. Yeap, Rockstar will not use Microsoft’s service and we are pretty sure that this is something that will put a smile on your face, right? Forget some screenshots that featured the Games for Windows logo on them. Rockstar was crystal clear. No GFWL for the PC version of Max Payne 3.
That was revealed via the game’s Twitter account. When a fan asked about GFWL, the team responded and said:
“No, Max Payne 3 for PC will not use Games for Windows Live.”
In other news, Rockstar has unveiled the full line-up of rogues and heroes in the Classic Multiplayer Character Pack available at launch as part of the Max Payne 3 Special Edition. This pack will be also available via DLC after the game’s launch.
This cast of fan-favorite killers from the original Max Payne and Max Payne 2 will be available as playable Deathmatch characters bringing a bit of nostalgia to the Max Payne 3 online experience.
The Classic Multiplayer Character Pack features: VLADIMIR ‘VLAD’ LEM, VINCENT ‘VINNIE’ GOGNITTI, JACK LUPINO, ALFRED WODEN, MONA SAX, VALERIE WINTERSON, NICOLE HORNE, and MAX PAYNE from Max Payne 2.
