Remember back in the PS3 days, when Kojima first showcased Metal Gear Solid 4? Remember that FPS segment? Obviously, Kojima was trolling the idea of an FPS game based on the Metal Gear Solid franchise, but here we are today with a mod for Ground Zeroes that offers exactly that. Oh, the irony.
Created by modder ‘Pao’, this mod enables a first-person camera mode for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. What’s also incredible here is that there is support for iron-sights, making aiming and shooting as good as it can get.
As the modder noted, there are still some bugs that have not been resolved (things vanish when you go near them and pistol animations don’t work well like the primary weapon ones), but the overall idea is incredible.
As we’ve already said, mods are essential for all sort of games and this one proves our claim. It looks awesome and gives players another reason to experiment with this relatively short Metal Gear Solid title.
Those interested can download the mod from here.
Enjoy!
