4A Games has announced that Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition will release on May 6th. In addition, the company revealed the official PC system requirements for this new version of the game.
Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition offers additional Ray Tracing features including Advanced Ray Traced Reflections and support for DLSS 2.0. Additionally, this update improves its existing Ray Traced Global Illumination tech to make every light source fully Ray Traced. It also implements the Ray Traced Emissive Lighting tech from The Two Colonels throughout the game.
According to the specs, PC gamers will at least need an NVIDIA RTX2060 for gaming at 1080p/Normal Settings with 45fps. For gaming at 4K/Ultra with 30fps, the team recommends using an NVIDIA RTX3080 or an AMD RX 6900XT. Moreover, 4A Games claims that an NVIDIA RTX3090 will be able to run the game at 4K/Extreme with 60fps.
Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition will be available for free to all existing owners of Metro Exodus on GOG, Microsoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
