Microsoft has released a new part in its Feature Discover Series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. In this video, Sven Mestas, Lead Game Designer from Asobo Studio talks about the game’s Airports and Airport features.
Microsoft Flight Simulator will feature all the airports in the world. Moreover, it will have 37K manually edited airports that will look way better than all the other airports. Not only that, but 80 of the most visited airports will be carefully handmade. On top of that, some iconic airports will be made with a new level of realism.
In order to create these airports, Microsoft has used the database of Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Then, the team edited airports from real areas in satellite pictures. Thus, there are a lot of small details in these new airports that players can find.
In Microsoft Flight Simulator, players will be able to fly highly detailed and stunning aircraft in an incredibly realistic world. Players will also be able to create their flight plan and fly anywhere on the planet. Furthermore, the game will have day/night environments, as well as challenging weather conditions.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
