Microsoft has announced that the Insider Program for Microsoft Flight Simulator will begin in August 2019. The team is now preparing the first batch of content for the Insider Program members that will be delivered in early August.
According to Microsoft, Insider Program Members will receive in early August an advanced preview of the Development Roadmap, “In-Sim” content (clips captured from build) as well as detailed information on first build deliverable and Insider participation sign-up.
In mid/late August, Insider Program Members will get Build Program Recruitment and Release timeline, an SDK Update, 3rd Party Content Update and UGC Content Update. And in late August, they will receive detailed information on first preview build deliverable, public participation sign-up and preview of next build details.
My guess is that the first preview build of Microsoft Flight Simulator will be made available in late August or in September.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted about the game’s development, so stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
