Digital Eclipse has just announced a 16-bit retro 2D action Power Rangers game, called Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is exactly what the fans of the SNES and SEGA Mega-Drive Power Rangers games were waiting for. So, don’t sleep on it.
In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, the team faces off against a robotic reincarnation of the Power Rangers’ long-time nemesis. Robo-Rita has conjured a portal to send herself back in time so she can finally vanquish the Power Rangers by forming an alliance with her younger self.
This new Power Rangers game will have a classic 90’s look and feel with hand-drawn pixel art. Events and episodes that players remember from the show have been remixed. This game will be an action-packed, 2-D brawler with arcade-style shooting and driving sequences.
Players will be able to pilot all of the original Dinozords. Moreover, they will be able to jump into the cockpit of the legendary Megazord and take down gigantic bosses.
Finally, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will have both Offline and Online modes. The Online mode will support up to 5 players.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
