Keen Software released today a demo build of their upcoming 6DOF space and base shooter, Miner Wars 2081. Miner Wars 2081 is played in an entirely destructible environment and will include single-player, co-op, and standard multi-player modes – with an MMOG in the works. The demo is 630MB in size and is based on the game’s latest build. The demo also sports the new rendering engine, as well as many other tweaks, including automatic turrets on motherships and numerous other cool stuff like 12 new playable ships (22 ships total).
Those interested can download the demo from here.
Here is also a video that showcases VRAGE rendering engine features.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
