Major League Gaming (MLG) has released details for the first MLG League of Legends (LoL) Arena taking place August 3-5. The three-day event will feature four of the world’s best League of Legends teams, competing live from the MLG Studio in NYC for a $10,000 1st Place prize.
Every single match of the tournament will be broadcast resulting in more than 20 hours of action-packed gameplay. All matches will be cast by an all-star lineup of Leigh Smith (Deman), Dan Dinh, and Trevor Henry (Quickshot).
The League of Legends Arena will be broadcast LIVE across three streams at MLG. All streams are free in standard definition and viewers can upgrade to HD to watch in up to 1080p without ads, and get DVR functionality in order to rewind and watch matches that may have been missed.
The LoL Main stream will be broadcasting every single match of the tournament. There will also be two Dr Pepper Ultimate Access streams that will each feature the broadcast of one of the teams playing on the main stream, with player chat channels to listen in to what the teams are saying to each other.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
