Capcom has announced that the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World will come out on the PC on January 9th, 2020. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team released a new 4K/60fps PC trailer that you can find below.
The PC version of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will support 4K resolutions and high-resolution textures. Naturally, it will also support uncapped framerates and ultrawide 21:9 monitors.
Perhaps the biggest addition is the support of DirectX 12. The base game supported only DX11 and Capcom will now add support for DX12. Theoretically, this should improve performance and optimization.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne will offer a diverse locale, rich with endemic life, numerous monsters that prey on each other and get into turf wars, as well as a new hunting experience, making use of the densely packed environment.
Iceborne will also offer new hunting mechanics as all 14 weapon types have new moves and combos. Each weapon has more unique actions than ever before. Moreover, every weapon now lets you use the clutch claw, a new function of the slinger, to grapple onto monsters.
This expansion will also bring a new quest difficulty (Master Rank), a new environment called Hoarfrost Reach, and various new monsters!
