Namco Bandai Will Distribute The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt In Europe

CD Projekt RED announced today that NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe will distribute the third part of The Witcher saga and join the studio in bringing the series to key markets in Europe.

Adam Badowski, Head of Studio, CD Projekt RED said:

“We’ve worked with NAMCO BANDAI Games before, so our partners there know both The Witcher and the ideals that drive us as a studio. We’re convinced that they understand our vision for the game and that they will do a great job at letting gamers know how the game’s open world and great story are going to change the next-gen RPG landscape.”

NAMCO BANDAI Games will be responsible for the distribution and promotion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in Europe and will bring the game to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The full list of countries includes: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Malta, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and United Kingdom.

The first installment in the Witcher series was released in 2007 for the PC. The second installment hit the PC market in 2011 and was released for the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft a year later. The two games received over 200 awards. In February 2013, CD Projekt RED announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is scheduled for a 2014 release and has garnered over 80 awards so far.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released simultaneously for the PC and next-generation consoles: PS4 and Xbox One.
