Modder ‘GrabussPC’ is currently working on graphics mod for Need for Speed Rivals. A few days ago, the modder shared a new trailer for it, revealing that Version 5.0 will come out on October 14th.
Need for Speed Rivals Plus V5.0 aims to significantly improve the graphics and gameplay. Version 5.0 has many big improvements regarding the graphics. Sadly, though, the modder did not go into more detail about them. Players can also expect more E3 content, a bigger list of add-ons, bug fixes, and many more new changes.
Need for Speed Rivals lets you play as either a cop or a racer, where you compete in intense street races. You can choose between two different career paths, each with its own challenges, rewards, and special cars. Whether you’re chasing down racers as a cop or trying to escape the police as a racer, you’ll need skill and speed to win in this rivalry.
NFS: Rivals came out on PC in 2013. The game is powered by the Frostbite Engine, and it was locked at 30fps. However, in 2023, we got a mod that removed that 30fps lock, allowing PC gamers to enjoy it with 60fps. Now I don’t know whether or not NFS Rivals Plus V5 will also allow you to unlock the framerate. If it doesn’t, I hope that it will be compatible with the 60fps mod.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
