Neon-Noir Action Sandbox Police Game, The Precinct, Will Release On May 13th

Kwalee has announced that its neon-noir action sandbox police game, The Precinct, will be released on May 13th. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also shared a new trailer that you can find below.

In The Precinct, players will clean up the city, uncover the truth, and embark on thrilling vehicle chases through destructible environments in this neon-noir action sandbox police game.

The Precinct promises to combine police sim detail with action sandbox spectacle. Players will be able to patrol the streets and respond to callouts to fight criminals petty and powerful. Additionally, they can choose their own tactics in thrilling chases and shootouts.

According to the publisher, the game will have procedurally generated crimes, ranging from parking violations to gang shootouts. And, to be honest, I just hope that the game won’t really heavily on this procedurally generated content. In short, I hope there will be a lengthy, well-crafted story to experience.

Kwalee has also shared the game’s official PC system requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660TI or AMD Radeon R7 370.

The devs recommend using an Intel Core i5-10400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060TI or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.

As we can see, this title won’t require a high-end PC system. In other words, most of you will be able to run it. Moreover, The Precinct will be powered by the Unity Engine. And, as we saw with AI Limit, games using that engine can suffer from stutters. So, let’s hope that the devs have taken this into account.

The Precinct is a game that immediately caught my eye. In a way, it reminds me of the old 2D GTA games. As such, I’m really looking forward to it.

Finally, you can download a demo from Steam. So, make sure to give it a go if you are interested in it.

Enjoy!
