Futuremark announced today that the latest version of its 3D Mark program will offer cross-platform benchmarking capabilities. According to the press release, with three all new tests the new 3DMark includes everything gamers and enthusiasts will need to benchmark everything from smartphones to the latest high-end, multi-GPU gaming desktops.
In addition, with 3DMark you can compare your scores with Windows RT, Android and iOS devices too.
Futuremark has also released a video that shows the new Ice Storm test designed for mobile devices and entry level hardware.
On Windows, 3DMark includes a further DirectX 10 test for notebooks and home PCs and a DirectX 11 test for high-performance gaming PCs, which showcases the latest advanced real-time rendering techniques and effects.
The new 3DMark will be released before the end of 2012.
