Back in April, we informed you about a Sonic 06 fan remake in Unity Engine, called Project ’06. As its title suggests, this fan game aims to remake Sonic the Hedgehog (from 2006) in Unity Engine. And today, I’m happy to report that ChaosX released a brand new demo that you can download and play.
This new demo contains the stages Wave Ocean, Dusty Desert, Radical Train, Flame Core & Kingdom Valley. It’s also more polished than the previous demo, something that will please a lot of Sonic fans out there.
Sonic 2006 originally came out exclusively on Xbox 360 and PS3. SEGA never ported the game on the PC and a lot of Sonic fans consider it one of the worst Sonic games. However, this fan remake actually looks and plays way better than the original version.
It’s also worth noting that there was another Sonic 2006 fan remake under development. Back in 2017, we informed you about another remake; SONIC THE HEDGEHOG PC. Unfortunately, and after releasing its demo, its progress has halted and there hasn’t been any update since then.
But anyway, you can download the new demo for Project ’06 from here or here.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
