Modder ‘BlurredNotions’ has released a new mod for The Witcher 3 that fixes the Hair Physics when playing at 60fps. According to its description, this mod “fixes” a flaw in the game which makes Geralt’s hair not animate properly when playing at any framerate higher than 30fps.
This mod supports all hairstyles (including DLC), meaning that those that do not use Hairworks can also benefit from it. It’s not perfect, as the modder suggests, but about as accurate an approximation of vanilla 30fps hair bounce at 60fps as you’re gonna get as of now.
In order to achieve the 60fps result, BlurredNotions decreased the nodeMasses variable’s values in the hair material files for every hairstyle in the game.
Those interested can download the 60fps hair physics mod from here. You can install it by simply extracting it with winrar and placing it in the mods folder that is in your The Witcher 3 directory, or by downloading it and installing it via the Witcher 3 Mod Manager.
