Ninja Theory has revealed that its upcoming 4v4 online melee game, Bleeding Edge, will not have any micro-transactions. According to the team, players will only spend money for buying the game itself and nothing more.
As Rahni Tucker, the game’s creative director said when asked about the possibility of the Bleeding Edge featuring micro-transactions.
“There is absolutely none right now. So you can obviously pre-order the game and you’ll get the Punk Pack with that. The Punk Pack has got some cosmetics in it like skins, and a hoverboard and some stickers and stuff. But everything else is earnable in the game including all the cosmetics. And we would absolutely never sell anything that would affect the game because it’s really important that it’s a competitive game, right? We don’t want to affect the competitive nature of the game by selling things.”
In case you weren’t aware of, Bleeding Edge is an online 4v4 melee game that focuses on hand-to-hand combat and every character will have his/her own weapons and unique look.
The game will take place in a dystopian future with its environemnts being really colourful. Its art style is also similar to Borderlands and Sunset Overdrive, so fans of those games may find this online game interesting.
