In his latest Reddit AMA, Sean Murray confirmed that the PC version of No Man’s Sky will feature a FOV slider. In addition, Murray has confirmed that there will be support for 21:9 monitors.
As Murray said when asked about a FOV slider in No Man’s Sky:
“Innes and Charlie are here working on it right now, but every time someone asks we take away one degree of field of view.”
Murray has also shared an image from the game’s graphics options, showing the FOV slider. PC gamers will be able to adjust both the flight and the on-foot field of view.
A few days ago, Murray claimed that he’s been working to add 21:9 monitor support to No Man’s Sky.
I'm here tonight adding support for 21:9 monitors. We don't even have one. I've stuck some cardboard to the side of mine ¯_(シ)_/¯

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
