Hello Games claimed – on a blog post yesterday – that No Man’s Sky won’t be affected by the recent water flood on its office. The development team won’t let a delay happen, even though it lost all its PCs, laptops, equipment, furniture and dev-kits.
Hello Games also talked about the idea of launching a Kickstarter campaign for No Man’s Sky. Unfortunately – or fortunately, depends on your perspective – there won’t be such a campaign for this title.
“I like Kickstarter, and I love what it stands for (all my Xmas presents were Kickstarter pledges). Financially I guess it’d probably be a really good time for us to do one, and so many people have suggested it. I just don’t think it’s the right thing for No Man’s Sky right now though, and we’d probably rather not eat than do the wrong thing for this game.”
So, no delay for No Man’s Sky according to the devs. That sounds great. Here is hoping that the end product won’t be affected in any other way by this flood (you know, like cutting features or dumbing it down).

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
