A lot of rumors surfaced earlier today, suggesting that alongside the PC dev build for Marvel’s Wolverine there are also playable PC dev builds of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and Marvel’s Venom. However, these reports are false. No, there aren’t any leaked PC dev builds for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and Marvel’s Venom.
This information comes straight from the man who has dumbed the supposed folder for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. According to Reddit’s “zVISCERAL_”, there aren’t any Venom game files. Moreover, projects i32 and i34 are not related in any way to Venom or Spider-Man 3.
To prove his point, the Redditor shared the following image. So, the build for i34 appears to be from 2023-11-17. Plus, it mostly has SM2 leftovers and nothing more. Hell, it’s also named Spider-Man2, and it even has the SM2 logos in it. Not only that but neither Venom nor SM3 have any .exe files anywhere.
Now I know that some would love to play early versions of Marvel’s Venom and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. However, there aren’t any builds for them. So, let’s not start spreading misinformation.
As I’ve already reported, these games will, one day, come out on PC. We also expect to see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC in FY2025.
In conclusion, there aren’t any playable PC versions or PC dev builds for Marvel’s Venom or Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. The only playable PC dev build is the one for Marvel’s Wolverine. That PC dev build only has a few vertical slice demos. It does not contain the entire game. So while it sucks, it’s not the biggest gaming leak. And it’s nowhere close to what happened with Half-Life 2.
Lastly, here is some PC gameplay footage from the leaked version of Marvel’s Wolverine.
