As we’ve informed you earlier this month, we’ve encountered low performance in F.E.A.R. 3 with Nvidia’s SLI profile. This profile caused a negative performance with low GPU usage and we suggested everyone to run the game in Single-GPU mode. As you’d expect, we contacted Nvidia for this issue.
After reporting the negative performance and providing some screenshots to back up our claims, Nvidia confirmed that there were issues with F.E.A.R. 3’s current SLI profile and that it’s now fixed. This fixed profile won’t make it into the next beta that is scheduled for release later this month but will be hopefully included in the next WHQL Forceware drivers!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
