NVIDIA has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, theĀ NVIDIA GeForce 417.01 WHQL driver is optimized and provides the optimal gaming experience for Darksiders III.
For what it’s worth, we’ve re-tested Darksiders 3 in 4K on our RTX2080Ti with this new driver and performance remained the same. There were still drops to 45-55fps and the only way we could improve performance was by lowering the Shadows from Epic to High (there were still drops below 60fps though).
This driver also allows gamers to apply refresh rates higher than 30Hz on 4K monitors, fixes Frame Rate Limiter 2, addresses an issue that prevented G-sync from being disengaged after exiting games, and resolves an issue that made Ansel images appear incomplete when the resolution was set to 30X or greater.
Those interested can download the driver from here, and you can find the complete changelog below.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
