NVIDIA has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA Geforce 560.70 WHQL driver offers optimal performance in Dungeonborne, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn and Stormgate.
Interestingly, enough, there is no mention of Nobody Wants to Die. This adventure game will come out tomorrow and it will support NVIDIA DLSS. My guess is that, since it uses UE5, it will be optimized from the get-go.
Anyway, this driver does not pack any additional game fixes. However, it does come with some general fixes.
For instance, it fixes an bug that could cause NVENC to have quality and bitrate issues at 10-bit encoding. It also resolves some artifacts in Unity when rendering overlapped geometry on anti-aliased framebuffer. Furthermore, scaling 10-bit HVEC or AV1 content down below 50% in viewport in OBS will no longer show corruption.
Before closing, this driver adds support for 14 G-SYNC Compatible displays that deliver a baseline Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) experience. These new monitors are the following ones. Needless to say you need to install this driver if you use any of them.
If you do not suffer from the aforementioned issues, and if you are not interested in the games I mentioned, you can skip this driver. If on the other hand, you want to stay up to date, you can download it from here.
Below, you can also find the full release notes for this driver. So, go ahead and take a look at them.
