NVIDIA has just released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the green team, the NVIDIA GeForce 572.42 WHQL driver adds full support for Avowed and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which will support DLSS 4.
Going into more details, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will receive a new patch that will add support for DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen. On the other hand, Avowed will support DLSS 4 MFG right when it launches.
This new driver also adds support for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII and Wuthering Waves. Plus, it adds profiles for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. As such, it should be possible now to use Motion Smoothing in FF7 Rebirth. FF7 Rebirth does not currently support DLSS 3 Frame Gen. So, for gaming at super high framerates, Motion Smoothing could do the trick.
Naturally, the NVIDIA GeForce 572.42 WHQL driver comes with some game fixes. For instance, it fixes a crash that could occur in Valorant when starting the game. It also resolves some freeze issues that could occur in Final Fantasy 16 when exiting the game. Plus, it fixes some performance regression issues in Delta Force when using Resizable BAR.
Finally, this driver adds support for 5 G-SYNC Compatible displays. These are the AOC 27G4H, AOC 25G4SXU, AOC AG275QZM, AOC Q24G4 and Philips 27M2N5500L.
