NVIDIA has just announced the GeForce GTX G-Assist. GeForce GTX G-Assist comes with deep learning algorithms that use the power of the GeForce GPU to bring artificial intelligence to gaming.
According to NVIDIA, GeForce GTX G-Assist Ghostplay watches how you play and mimics you. Furthermore, you can tweak it with settings like actions per minute and the AI’s playstyle, as well as language preferences and whether you like to talk or not.
With this solution, NVIDIA aims to eliminate all AFK issues that PC gamers have been experiencing in multiplayer titles. Not only that, but the GeForce GTX G-Assist will feature a BossBoost via which PC gamers can let the AI overcome the toughest boss battles in games like Dark Souls III.
Now I get it that it becomes really frustrating trying to beat the same boss over and over again, especially when a game relies on checkpoints and does not let you save anywhere. However, some games rely heavily on their difficulty and this feature will simply make this gaming philosophy… irrelevant.
On the other hand, I can really appreciate eating pizza and letting the AI play the game for you, however if that’s what you really want, then you can also watch a playthrough of a game on YouTube, right?
Obviously April’s fools joke

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
