We are living in exciting times. Although GTX680 is a damn beast, we could very well see a dual-GPU topping it as Nvidia is preparing for a special announcement at GeForce LAN / NVIDIA Gaming Festival (NGF) 2012 in Shanghai, China. The company has revealed an image that shows a new card and if you can recall, that image was leaked a while ago. Not only that, but earlier yesterday, Nvidia sent out a crowbar labeled with the GeForce logo to the guys at Hardwareheaven.
According to the press release we got, the NVIDIA Gaming Festival is one of the largest PC gaming events in the world with over 6,000 local and 500,000 online attendees. Top pro gamers will compete in StarCraft 2, League of Legends, and DOTA tournaments for $40,000 in cash and prizes.
There is also a timer at GeForce’s official website. We should also note that Nvidia will offer live stream coverage of the event, so make sure to tune in on April 28th.
From the looks of it, Nvidia might announce a dual GK104 card. However, this does not mean that we’d be getting a GTX690 as it seems that this will be the mid-range dual GPU. Still, it would be cool if the green team made an announcement for the high-end dual GPU model, right? As we said, we’ re living in exciting times and we can’t wait to see what the ‘green-ers’ have in store for us.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
