According to Videocardz, NVIDIA will announce this Monday the RTX Technology which is a new real-time cinematic rendering technique for game developers. What’s really cool here is that three developers are already participating in the development of RTX and these three developers are EA Games, Remedy, and 4A Games.
NVIDIA will also announce Ray Tracing for Gameworks, which will enable real-time Area Shadows, Glossy Reflections and Ambient Occlusion in game development.
As noted, NVIDIA has partnered with Microsoft to create a new API for RTX, which will be supported by major game engines, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, and Frostbite.
It will be interesting to see what games will take advantage of these new techniques!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
