NVIDIA has announced that it will stop releasing Game Ready drivers for its Fermi graphics cards. This means that all of its future Game Ready drivers, starting from those that will be coming out later this month, will only be available on Kepler, Maxwell, and Pascal series GPUs.
NVIDIA’s Game Ready drivers are optimized for all the latest games and include performance enhancements, new features, and bug fixes. However, and while there will no longer be new Game Ready drivers for the Fermi GPUs, NVIDIA will keep releasing security drivers for these graphics cards until January 2019.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
