Obsidian’s RPG, The Outer Worlds, is a game that a lot of Fallout fans are waiting for. And from the looks of it, its release date may have been leaked by Steam’s database. According to the game’s SteamDB entry, Obsidian targets an August 6th release.
The game’s release date was revealed via a new SteamDB update from the developers. Now while Obsidian was quick to react and remove that release date, the game’s SteamDB history still includes and hints at the “August 6th” launch date.
The Outer Worlds is a player-driven story RPG in which your choices affect not only the way the story develops, but your character build, companion stories, and end game scenarios.
The game comes with a “Flaws” feature via which it tracks your experience to find what you aren’t particularly good at. This optional approach to the game promises to help players build the character they want while exploring Halcyon.
As always, take the game’s release date with a grain of salt as Obsidian has not announced anything official yet!
