Now here is a pleasant surprise. Square Enix has just released a PC demo for Octopath Traveller 2 on Steam. Furthermore, this Prologue Demo will allow players to transfer their save data to the full version once – and if – they purchase it.
Now the reason I’m surprised by this PC demo is because the game is using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. And yes, that was one of the reasons why we didn’t get a pre-release demo for the first Octopath Traveller game.
But anyway, in this demo, players will begin their adventure as one of eight new travelers, each with their own origins, motivations, and unique skills. Furthermore, the demo will showcase the game’s HD-2D graphics.
Octopath Traveller 2 will preserve familiar mechanics from the original game. As such, players can expect the freedom to develop their travelers’ jobs and skills, as well as the Break and Boost system. In addition, the game will also have some new mechanics.
Square Enix will release Octopath Traveller 2 on February 24th. You can also download its demo from its official Steam store page.
Have fun!
